Laderman, Julian

Dr. Julian Laderman is a retired mathematics and computer science professor (Lehman College, City University of New York). He is a two-time winner of the American Bridge Teachers’ Association Book of the Year Award, winning for A Bridge to Simple Squeezes in 2006 and A Bridge to Inspired Declarer Play in 2009. His book on the history of bridge, Bumblepuppy Days, received the Alan Truscott Memorial Award from the International Bridge Press Association in 2016. For many years he wrote the bridge column for The Bronx Journal.

Landy, Sandra

Sandra Landy (Aylesbury) is both a multiple world champion and one of the most respected bridge teachers in the UK. She was responsible for the English Bridge Union's teaching materials, the Really Easy bridge series.

Larsson, Jan Eric

Jan Eric Larsson (Sweden) is a professor in artificial intelligence at Lund University in southern Sweden and manager of a small software company that delivers intelligent monitoring and diagnosis systems for national power grids. He is also one of Sweden's top ten tournament directors and the chairperson of the Swedish Bridge Laws Commission.

Lawrence, Mike

Mike Lawrence (TN) has Hall of Fame credentials both as a player and a writer. An original member of the Dallas Aces, he has won three world titles and eighteen national titles. Several of his books are widely regarded as classics of the game.

Lébely, Robert Berthe & Norbert

After their first meeting, at the Sarcelles Bridge Club, it became inevitable that the bridge writer, Robert Berthe, and the professional teacher, Norbert Lébely, would collaborate on books for teaching bridge. The result was Pas à Pas, a series which in its original form has sold more than 300,000 copies in France.

Lee, Ray

Ray Lee (Toronto, Canada) has been playing and writing about bridge for more than 40 years. A former bridge columnist for the 'Toronto Star', he has also been editor of various bridge magazines, and has written for such varied periodicals as the ACBL Bulletin, BRIDGE magazine, Bridge Plus, Australian Bridge, and world championship Daily Bulletins. He is a former president of the Canadian Bridge Federation.

Lee, Linda

Linda Lee (Toronto, Canada) is a retired project management executive who now spends much of her time playing bridge and writing about the game. A multiple Canadian champion who has represented her country several times at the world level, her blog <a href="http://linda.bridgeblogging.com">http://linda.bridgeblogging.com</a> is one of the most popular bridge blogs on the net. Her books range from beginner texts to a revised and updated edition of Clyde Love's classic <em>Bridge Squeezes Complete</em>.

LeVan, Timothy

Timothy LeVan is owner &amp; founder of the Camp Hill (Pennsylvania) Bridge Club, and an ACBL-accredited club director, teacher, and soon Silver Life Master. He is also accredited by Easybridge!, and Audrey Grant’s Better Bridge. Formerly a classical pianist, he has performed with many singers from the Metropolitan and New York City Opera companies. He has two piano CDs, and two classical song translation books available on Amazon.com.

Levé, Guy

Guy Levé is a retired electronics engineer whose interests include science, genealogy, travel and several sports along with bridge. He lives near Montpellier, in France.

Lihou, Marguerite

Marguerite Lihou is an illustrator based in Bristol, UK and is also a bridge player. In her work she aims to capture the foibles of human nature with gentle humor and affection.

Love, Clyde E.

Clyde E. Love (1882-1960) was a professor of mathematics at Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was (obviously) an expert on squeeze plays, and wrote books on both bridge and mathematics.
