TUĞRUL KABAN, originally from Turkey, has lived in the UK since the age of 18. He is a familiar if infrequent face in the English bridge scene, occasionally also venturing further afield in Europe. He is easily distinguished at tournaments by the booklet he tables for a convention card. Many a copy has been provided to interested players, who can now do even better with his book.
Eddie Kantar (Santa Monica, CA) is one of the most popular and prolific
bridge writers in the world. A winner of two World Championships, and a
member of the Bridge Hall of Fame, his many books include Modern Bridge
Defense, Advanced Bridge Defense, the hilarious Kantar on Kontract, and of
course, Roman Keycard Blackwood. His work appears regularly in many bridge
magazines around the world.
RUBY Life Master from Washington DC area with a Weak Two Convention created in 1992. ACBL member for over 50 years . Started the Bridge Club at UVA in 1970. Retired IT Specialist from C.D.C then EPA.
Danny Kleinman of Los Angeles is a prolific bridge writer, theorist, professional player, and teacher, who is a regular contributor to several bridge magazines. He is a Contributing Editor of <em>The Bridge World</em>, and is one of the moderators of 'The Master Solvers' Club' in that magazine. He also writes about backgammon, another game which he plays at an expert level.
Ron Klinger (Australia) is one of the best-known and prolific authors in bridge today, with more than 70 books to his credit. He has represented his country many times, and won numerous Australian National titles.
TIM KOHL (USA), a retired teacher, is a Silver Life Master and a licensed ACBL teacher. He combines professional training with personal experience as a bridge player to advise less-experienced players as they become Life Masters. When Tim is not playing bridge, he enjoys completing small woodworking projects. He has published two books on woodworking.
ERIC KOKISH (Canada), an ACBL and CBF Hall-of-Famer, and four-time WBF open medalist, has made his mark as a player, coach, analyst, consultant, editor, columnist and author. He lives in Toronto with his wife Beverly Kraft.
Valentin Kovachev has been playing professional bridge since 2003 and has won all the major Bulgarian bridge championships. He has won the Schapiro Cup in England, placed second on two other occasions, and has two North American championships to his credit. He now lives in Las Vegas with his wife, Billiana, and their two children.
RAKESH K KUMAR (Mittagong, Australia) has been playing tournaments since the early 1980s and, for over 20 years, has also been writing about them for the New South Wales Bridge Association (based in Sydney). His previous books for Master Point Press were Swing Deals and Winning IMPs.
